Grant Horticulture
Xeriscape Garden -
RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse 2025
Inspired by the sun‑bleached Garrigue of southern France and the wider Mediterranean landscape, the Grant Horticulture Xeriscape Garden is a bold exploration of what gardens can become in a warmer, drier future. This is planting with purpose — resilient, expressive, and unapologetically beautiful.
Xeriscaping is the art of designing landscapes that dramatically reduce, or even eliminate, the need for irrigation. As temperatures rise and water becomes an increasingly precious resource, this garden demonstrates how thoughtful plant selection and intelligent design can create landscapes that thrive under pressure. Here, adaptability and resilience are not compromises, but creative drivers — resulting in planting schemes rich in texture, movement, and year‑round interest.
The garden challenges traditional ideas of what sustainable planting looks like, proving that low‑water landscapes can still feel immersive, generous, and full of life. It offers a glimpse into how future‑proof planting can be applied to private gardens, rural properties, and commercial landscapes — without sacrificing character or enjoyment.
